Below is a list of words that
tell students what to do. I call them direction words, because they
give directions as to what to do. They are in no particular order. All students should be able to use these words in a sentence and have a decent working definition of these words. Every assessment has directions and words that give directions and I pulled these words from various tests and assessments. Students can only benefit from knowing these words well. If you can think of any direction words I missed, please e-mail me at: miketaye@gmail.com.
I saw something similar on a vocabulary assessment on a Brigance(the name of the company) assessment.
